Who we are: The RELEEV Team

Meryl J. Squires, Chairwoman - President & CEO

Inventor, Entrepreneur and Founder of Merix Pharmaceutical Corp, with double major undergraduate studies in Psychology and Biology, Ms. Squires received many awards for leadership and academics.

Since 1978, Ms Squires' course of study has been specializing in bio-medical research, phyto-pharmacognosy and application of phyto-pharmaceuticals. Ms. Squires is credited with inventing Viracea®, a novel biotechnology that has broad based antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Multiple drug products are in development utilizing Ms. Squires technology and is marketed today as OTC products under the brand name of RELEEV®. Over the course of several years, she gathered data on the efficacy of the formula, brought the OTC product line to market, and built the company from its inception in 1998.

She now owns worldwide patents on this formula and has grown the consumer products division of Merix to an estimated $10 Million retail product in only 3 years due to the success of RELEEV 1- Day Cold Sore Symptom Treatment.

After years of continued development by Ms. Squires, Merix has entered the dental market with their recent launch of Proginicin, a treatment for gum disease and dental procedures based on the ingredient, Viracea.

Collaborative research and development liaisons are planned with outside firms to assist in the development of Viracea into pharmaceutical products.

In 2005 Ms. Squires was chosen as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year finalist.

Ms. Squires founded Angel House, a charitable foundation for children. Angel House is planned to provide and arrange temporary housing accommodations, emergency shelter services and food to children in need.

Honors: Phi Beta Kappa; Dean's List; Dean's Honors; Leadership Award, Psychology Society Harper College; Leadership Award, Biological Society Harper College; Who's Who of American Colleges; Merit Scholarships.

Publications: American Virology Society: Antiviral Activity of Viracea in Herpes (HSV1 & HSV2); Antiviral Activity of Viracea in Acyclovir Resistant Strains of Herpes (HSV1 & HSV2); Broad Based Anti-infective Properties of Viracea.

 
Dori M. Squires - Vice President

Responsible for daily operations, Dori oversees Human Resources, Customer Service, Accounting, Manufacturing and Warehousing to meet FDA compliance.

Dori joined Merix in 2000 as the Operations Coordinator. Working closely with Merix' President, she is credited with creating Merix' Standard Operating Policies Procedures, Manufacturing Policies, and Regulatory Guidelines.

Prior to joining Merix, Dori served as Facilities Coordinator for Ty, Inc., where she coordinated all aspects of the facilities at the corporate office as well as the Distribution Center. While at Ty Inc, Dori was recognized for her achievements and was the recipient of the "Employee of the Month" award.

In 1996, Dori served as Logistics Coordinator for Ameritech (now AT&T), specifically for the Democratic National Convention. Dori assisted in coordinating all media needs in the execution of the reporting and broadcasting from the Convention site.

Dori is currently certified in the FDA's GMP's for Finished Pharmaceuticals.

Diann M. Squiers - Vice President of Product Services

With ten years of management experience in the health products industry to Merix, Diann joined Merix in August of 2000.

Possessing strong organizational and computer skills, Diann serves to keep staff up to date with the latest research in the consumer health product industry.

Diann skillfully handles and processes all retailer/customer purchase orders including product routing and shipping procedures. In addition, she manages all processes associated with inventory, is instrumental in developing and executing customer/consumer relations, broker relations. Diann coordinates sales materials production, and coordinates tradeshow booth requirements.

Undergraduate studies in the arts, Diann attended Chicago's Columbia College. She regularly volunteers for such organizations as The American Red Cross and other notable charities.
 
Jyllianne L. Czanstkowski, CFT, CN,  Operations Coordinator

With eleven years of experience in the manufacturing environment, Jyllianne' s expertise in management, quality control, job cost estimation, and accounting allowed for a smooth transition into the position she now fills at Merix.

Detail oriented, Jyllianne is responsible for managing Merix' worldwide patent portfolio. She interfaces with patent attorneys, reviewing and entering the fees/notifications on a monthly basis, reviews billings and interfaces electronically with foreign agents.

Jyllianne coordinates and oversees the daily input and maintenance of the company's Electronic Data Interface System (EDI), the source for all mass retailer incoming and outgoing documentation.

In addition, Jyllianne assists the customer service department and all aspects of company business reporting directly to the Vice President and President

Majoring in Sociology and Psychology at Northern Illinois University, and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Jyllianne earned membership to the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, while on an athletic scholarship.
